Pro-life Day of Silent Solidarity

Members from Grounded & Settled (Intercessor’s Youth Ministry) are participating in the Pro-life Day of Silent Solidarity. Please pray that they will be able to make a stand for life in their schools.
Also, all are welcome to join the group at Planned Parenthood today from 4pm to 7pm in a prayer vigil that will include periods of silence, Liturgy for the Preborn, and open prayer.
Day of Silent Solidarity
“On October 19th, people from all over this nation will give up their voices for a day in solidarity for these children. Red arm bands and duct tape will identify them as taking part in the Pro-life Day of Silent Solidarity. They will carry fliers explaining why they are silent and educate others about the plight of the innocent children we are losing every day.” *
Members of Grounded and Settled (Intercessor’s Jr. & Sr. High Youth Group) will be joining this event.
On the same day, Grounded & Settled members will be standing outside of Planned Parenthood in Hempstead, NY holding a silent vigil from 4-6pm. If you are available, those of any age our welcome to join the group in this silent vigil.

CEC Orphanage in Uganda
This past Lent, Grounded & Settled (Jr. & Sr. High Youth Ministry) raised money to help a CEC Orphanage in Uganda. Archbishop Craig Bates just received an email from Bp. Hannington, the overseer of the orphanage and school in Uganda. Please read part of the email below and be encouraged that the young adults of Intercessor are making an impact around the world!

I am happy to write this letter personally to you, first and foremost to thank you for the efforts of the youths in your Cathedral. They contributed money which helped us very much in Mt. Zion Orphanage School Feeding Program.
I am glad to report that the school has gained a lot of favor from the Lord and from the community so much that we felt we had no room for more children. I pray that God blesses all those that have had a hand in all this.
May I therefore request you to extend my sincere thanks to the Youths of your Cathedral and all the believers that gather there.
Professor Art Daiel of South Pacif Ministries, Australia donated us books for our School Library and paid for six Bookshelves. We praise God for him

Summer Missions Trip to Brazil
We are excited to announce that this July 14-27, members from Grounded & Settled will be going to Recife, Brazil, to participate with our Brazilian brothers and sisters in evangelism and ministry.
The main outreach we join takes place at an annual Winter Festival (remember Brazil is in the Southern Hemisphere) in the city of Garanhuns, about 200 miles inland from Recife. The team will also have opportunities to minister to the least, lost and lonely of Recife by helping with a feeding program, holding VBS program for children, and doing some light construction work.
Below is video outlining what we will be doing in Recife, as well as the young adults speaking their hearts of why they want to go on this trip.
