Financial Ministries
The Financial Ministry has been formed to provide to our parishioners and extended community much needed information in the area of finances and personal development for adults as well as young adults. For Adults we will be running programs such as Financial Peace University, How to Buy and Sell on EBay, Financial Planning, Financial Counseling. For personal development there will be events on buying and selling real estate, how to use insurance wisely and legal seminars such as how to avoid probate and passing your assets to your airs properly. For the young adults there will be college planning workshops, and a series on money for young adults. The overall goal is to provide basic usable information in all areas of finance and personal development to help our community grow using money Gods way.
Below are some of the adult financial programs that we are intending to run:
- Financial Peace University – A 13 week video program taught by New York Times bestselling author Dave Ramsey. Dave reveals in his thirteen week program the secrets to setting out of debt by using money Gods way. (Begins February 22nd click here for more information.)
- Buying and Selling on EBay – A 2 hour class that is geared to start off with teaching the fundamentals about buying and selling on EBay. From there it flows into some of the advanced buying and selling techniques on how to make sure you are not getting ripped off when you place your order to buy off of EBay. Lastly you will learn some of the top selling secrets of top EBay sellers and how to create a listing to sell an item that will stand out above your competition.
- Trading the Stock Market – An intense 6 hour workshop on using the stock market to generate income. One of my favorite strategies is where you already own stock and you rent it out and collect a monthly check while you still own the stock.
- Financial Planning – An extension to Financial Peace University where an approved councilor can work with individuals to help them get out of debt, create a budget and set up a plan to get to where they want to go.
