3 Streams Worship

We worship in a Trinitarian form. That is, we worship the Father through the Son in the power of the Holy Spirit. The expression of this worship is sacramental-liturgical, evangelical, and charismatic. These are the three great streams of historic Christianity brought together to make one mighty river of praise and worship. This is sometimes called “Convergence Worship.”

3 Streams Worship does not flow one stream at a time. We hold to the forms of the liturgy yet praise with a jubilant and enthusiastic Worship all the time open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit, in words and inspiration.

We hold that 3 Streams of Worship fundamentally changes the structure of the Church. We are government Charismatic Bishops, our Churches are led by councils on those who can hear the voice of God for each church.

This is what we look like

Charismatic Worship, Prophetic words were spoken, Evangelical outreach, and biblical doctrine with a Sacramental Liturgy.

How do we describe “Convergence Worship” “3 Streams Worship?”
A Worship of God is the heartbeat of the ICCEC as it blends treasures old and new (Matthew 13:52) through the convergence of the three main streams of the Christian faith: liturgical-sacramental, evangelical, and charismatic. We enjoy the richness of worship through this convergence as it blossomed and developed in the various historical traditions.

Yet, as we practice this traditional liturgical worship, which may be resplendent with pageantry, procession, vestments, and signs and symbols, we keep ourselves open to the Holy Spirit’s activity. We know that the Holy Spirit gives life to the liturgy through us because the Holy Spirit brings alive the words of the liturgy among us. Churches in the ICCEC eagerly anticipate the manifestation of God’s presence to us through the biblical gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit, in, through, and around the liturgy.

There is a vibrancy to our worship, an expectancy that God will visit His People and equip them for living. When we gather for worship to receive the body and blood of Jesus, we do so in a liturgy full of joyful praise and reverent prayer. True convergence worship is the balance of the evangelical power of the read and spoken Word of God. It is our personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, the charismatic move of the Holy Spirit, and the historically crafted beauty of the ancient liturgy.

3 Streams Worship in One Mighty River

We are men and women of faith gathered from diverse backgrounds seeking an expression of the fully sacramental-liturgical, evangelical, and charismatic church. These three streams converge not in confusion but in unity, with no one stream preeminent over the others:  Church that has submitted to the authority of Scripture, as interpreted by the continuing witness of the ancient church and governed by consensus.

Our worship is Biblical, Liturgical and Spirit-filled, ancient and contemporary, holy and joyful. We live to show forth God’s praise, not only with our lips but in our lives, by giving up ourselves to His service and by walking before Him, in holiness and righteousness, all our days. We are committed to advancing God’s kingdom by proclaiming the Gospel to the least, the lost, and the lonely.
