Fr. Brett Crompton

Senior Pastor

When Fr. Brett raised his hand in response to an altar call over twenty years ago and asked the Lord into his heart he had one prayer that the Lord would use him to help others. Brett’s life radically changed as a result and the Lord chose to answer that prayer. Fr. Brett’s life of ministry began as a layman helping to plant a church on the North Shore of Long Island. Besides leading worship on Sunday mornings he was soon running a midweek bible study held in the apartment he shared with his wife, Laurie Ann. The bible study quickly outgrew their apartment and it became obvious that the Lord had a calling on Brett’s life to help minister to His people. It was during this time that a prophetic word prompted Brett to enter seminary.

As part of Fr. Brett’s training, he and his wife, Laurie Ann, made a geographical loop, moving from New York to Orlando, Florida, where he worked under the late Bp. Frank Costantino and trained as a substance abuse counselor. From there, Brett and Laurie Ann headed ‘across the pond’ to act as missionaries in England for six months (which was every bit as cool as that sounds). While there Brett also continued his training with Bridges International and was once again involved in planting a church. Then, it was back to New York where Brett was ordained to the Diaconate in 1999 and later to the Priesthood in 2006. He has served God in numerous roles over the years. These include; Youth Pastor, Substance Abuse Counselor, Motorcycle Chaplin, Social Action Coordinator and Worship Leader. He’s also is the Vice-President of Bridges of New York, a Christian prison ministry and transitional housing program for those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. He is blessed to serve under Bishop Craig Bates; the very same man who led him to Christ all those years ago.

Fr. Brett and Laure Ann are blessed to be raising two children, Trinity and Aidan. Brett currently oversees, Leadership Development, Men and Women’s ministries and Recovery ministries at Intercessor in addition to teaching, preaching and leading worship.

Matthew 25:23 (NKJV)

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’”
